    Tripartite Validation Meeting on ‘Women in Health Leadership’

    Under the ILO-OECD-WHO Working for Health Project, the International Labour Organization has carried out a study on Gender Equality in Health Sector and Women in Health Leadership in Pakistan. In order to review the preliminary findings of the study with all relevant stakeholders, a tripartite consultative meeting was organised. The objectives of the consultative workshop was to share the findings of the study on women in health leadership in Pakistan, validate the findings, and to promote a social dialogue on barriers and facilitators to women's leadership in the health sector.

  2. Peace and Resilience

    Launch of the Training Manual for workers’ organizations on Dealing with crisis arising from conflicts and disasters

    This panel discussion will provide an opportunity to highlight the importance of social dialogue in matters related to conflicts and disasters by insisting on the role of the ILO, its social partners, and International Labour Standards in crisis situations. It will focus on the key role that workers’ organizations have in this important field.

  3. Fair Recruitment

    The ILO launches the Fair recruitment Initiative (Phase II, 2021-2025) for Africa

    The ILO Regional Office for Africa in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and the International Organization of Employers (IOE) are partnering to launch the Fair Recruitment Initiative in Africa in March 2022. This launch is an opportunity to expand the implementation of successful fair recruitment approaches to other countries in Africa.

  4. ILO side-event at the 66th session of the Commission on the Status of Women

    Panel discussion on women’s empowerment in the world of work in fragile settings

    The event was an opportunity to launch the ILO Guide “Gender equality and women’s empowerment in the world of work in fragile, conflict and disaster settings” and to engage in a global conversation with constituents, partner organizations and other stakeholders in the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus on how best to effectively mainstream gender equality and non-discrimination in the world of work faced by crisis and fragility in order to pave the way to more equal, peaceful and resilient societies.

  5. Event

    Three Country OSH Training Workshop for Plantation Sector - Introduction and Application of Training Methodologies

    The workshop will introduce application methodologies such as Work Improvement in Neighbourhood Development (WIND) and Work Improvement in Small Enterprises (WISE) for the sector.

    Annual Review of Thailand Decent Work Country Programme 2019 – 2021 on 15 – 16 December 2021

    The ILO’s tripartite constituents announced its consensus in extending the end date of the Thailand Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) 2019 – 2021 to end in December 2022 to be in line with national development plants, particularly the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan (NESDP) for 2017-2021 (2022) and the United Nations Partnership Framework (UNPAF) 2017 – 2021 (2022). The participants discussed and reviewed the resulted achieved under the programme in 2021 with great success. They also discussed workplan for 2022 and suggested significant outcomes for the next Decent Work Country Programme.

    DWCP-IV: Provincial Tripartite-plus Consultation

    This tripartite consultation is a first in series of provincial consultations which shall provide a foundation for development of DWCP-IV in line with the past experiences and will help build upon success and achievements of previous DWCPs.

    National tripartite conference on the global call to action for a human centred recovery from COVID-19, in the context of India, jointly with the Ministry of Labour and Employment

    The conference is envisaged to foster convergence and tripartite action contributing to the implementation of the ILO Centenary Declaration for the Future of Work and SDGs in India.

    Strengthening Social Dialogue Policy and Practices: Constituents Review of Social Dialogue & Tripartite Mechanisms in Thailand

    Thailand practices tripartism and social dialogue and it has many advisory social dialogue bodies, including at bipartite mechanisms at enterprise level. This meeting is aimed at facilitating review by constituents of key challenges facing the social dialogue mechanisms and discuss way forward for making tripartism and social dialogue more effective.

    Symposium on Trade Unions in Times of COVID-19

    This international symposium aims to provide an opportunity for trade union leaders, experts, academics and ILO officials to exchange on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the world of work. Participants will discuss about strategies on how can trade unions shape the policy responses to the COVID-19 and contribute to the implementation of the ILO Global Call to Action for a human-centred recovery from the COVID-19 crisis that is inclusive, sustainable and resilient.
