    Training of Trainers SOLVE: Integrating Health Promotion into Occupational Health and Safety Policy

    The programme promotes the design of enterprise level policies and intervention programmes to improve working conditions and reduce work-related stress from an OSH occupational safety and health perspective by incorporating psychosocial hazards into the risk assessment and risk management strategy, involving both employers and workers through bipartite OSH committees at the workplace level.

    SOLVE: Integrating Health Promotion into Workplace OSH Policy

    The ILO's SOLVE programme is based on recognition of the interdependent relationships in the workplace between psycho-social factors and other health-related behaviours and their underlying causes (work organization, working conditions, labour relations). The programme includes modules on work-related stress; addictive behaviours; violence at work; HIV & AIDS; nutrition and physical activity; healthy rest and sleep; economic stress; and the management and promotion of health in the workplace.

    The main objectives of this national tripartite workshop were to identify and describe strengths and challenges for OSH in Moldova; to identify and to analyze priorities for action in order to improve the OSH system; and to put in place a roadmap that would lead to the development and eventual adoption of a National OSH Programme for Moldova.

    Development of a National Occupational Safety and Health Programme for Ukraine

    Ukraine is one of the six pilot countries of the ILO/EU project “Improving safety and health at work through a decent work agenda (2010-2012). Following the inception mission carried out in March 2010 which focused on presenting the project to the main national stakeholders and recruit the national coordinator of the project, this second event aimed to: Participate in a Parliamentary Hearing on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) (November 17th 2010); Hold the first steering committee of the project (November 18th 2010); Conduct a two-day training workshop on the development of a national programme on OSH (November 18th and 19th 2010).
