More than 1,500 households from forcibly displaced and host communities and over 460 enterprises were surveyed in the States of Khartoum, East Darfur, and West Kordofan, followed by a number of focus group discussions at different levels. The assessment summarizes their responses and provides an overview of the socioeconomic impacts and the government’s responses during the COVID-19 crisis in Sudan.

Call for organisations to manage small business grants in response to Covid-19

The ILO is looking for organisations to partner with and implement a small grants package for micro and small enterprises to enable them withstand the effects of Covid-19 pandemic. These grants, ranging between USD 500 to 1,000, will target enterprises owned by refugees and host communities (Rhino camp for refugees in Arua district) and Nakivale Refugee Settlement for refugees in Isingiro district.
