Ukraine Migrant Domestic Worker "Information Passport"

As part of the GAP-MDW Ukraine-Poland Corridor project, partners have created an "information passport" and complementary Q&A leaflet for Ukrainian domestic workers emigrating to Poland.

Under the Global Action Programme for Migrant Domestic Workers and their Families, "Information Passports" have been created in response to worker requests for readily accessible information on labor rights in their host country.

The guides, now available for workers in Argentina, Lebanon and Poland (in Spanish, English and Ukrainian respectively) provide general information on migration legislation as well as domestic workers' labour rights. The guides also provide a list of contacts, including consulates and civil society organisations. The Information Passport was produced in collaboration with UN WOMEN, the International Domestic Workers Federation (IDWF), the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). GAP-MDW is currently preparing similar guides for domestic workers arriving in South Africa from Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
