Formalizing access to the legal labour market for refugees and host communities in Jordan (Phase II)

This project seeks to support Jordanians and Syrian refugees in accessing decent work in Jordan’s labour market through skills development and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), while also supporting female workers to enter and remain in the formal work force through targeted support. It also supports refugee workers with work permit issuance in selected sectors, including through an ILO-developed web-based platform.

EU-ILO collaboration in the monitoring of labour aspects in the implementation of the EU’s rules of origin initiative for Jordan (Phase II)

The project, in its second phase, implements interventions aimed at supporting the EU-Jordan Agreement on the relaxation of the rules of origin (RoO). The agreement facilitates access of specific Jordanian product categories to the EU market while creating incentives for Jordanian employers to recruit Syrian workers in addition to their Jordanian employees, in order to meet the requirements under the Jordan Compact.

Job creation for Syrian refugees and Jordanian host communities through green works in agriculture and forestry (Phase II)

The project, in its second phase, will be implemented with the Ministry of Agriculture, to boost decent jobs through green works and labour-intensive employment in agriculture and forestry.

Supporting the strategic objectives of the London Syria Conference 2016

The project aims to improve the working conditions of Syrian refugees and Jordanians in the sectors of agriculture and construction.
