  1. EQUIP : Equipping Sri Lanka to Counter Trafficking in Persons

    1 September 2017 - 31 July 2021

    The Project aims to reduce human trafficking in Sri Lanka by intervening via a three pronged approach (3P’s) : Prevention, Protection and Prosecution through conducting research and awareness to inform regulations and practice, ensuring fair and ethical business recruitment practices are adopted, improving protection services for identified victims and prosecuting and investigating offenders.

  2. Global Action to Improve the Recruitment Framework of Labour Migration (REFRAME) in Sri Lanka

    1 January 2018 - 31 March 2021

    The REFRAME project in Sri Lanka aims to reduce abusive practices and violations of human and labour rights and enhance the protection of migrant workers during the recruitment process.

  1. Safe Labour Migration Programme in Sri Lanka

    6 April 2013 - 29 February 2020

    Supported by the Government of Switzerland, this programme aims at ensuring an effective implementation of the Sri Lanka National Labour Migration Policy while promoting decent work through good governance, protection and empowerment of migrant workers.

  1. Enhanced recognition of skills and reduced vulnerability of Sri Lankan construction workers in selected GCC countries – U.A.E. and Kuwait (IOM-ILO collaboration)

    This project is a sub component of IOM (International Organization for Migration), project on “‘Strengthening Labour Migration Governance across Colombo Process Member States’” funded by SDC and operates in the framework of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue, Colombo Process and the general approach of the UAE skills pilot.

  1. Prevention of trafficking in persons through improved management of labour migration in Sri Lanka

    1 October 2009 - 30 September 2012

    The overall goal of the project is to promote decent work in “conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity” for women and children employed as domestic or unskilled workers abroad, reducing their vulnerability to rights violations as victims of trafficking for labour exploitation.
