With this in mind, the ILO facilitated two webinars on labour market governance, inclusive employment policies and access to social protection within the framework of the “South-south triangular cooperation (SSTC) initiative between Turkey and Colombia”.

  7. SADA Women’s Cooperative in Turkey was selected as one of the 10 projects for scaling up by the Paris Peace Forum

    The cooperative was formed by women from host and refugee communities to undertake collective income generation activities with the support of the ILO. The cooperative was selected as one of ten projects to be scaled up and mentored by the Paris Peace Forum in the coming year.

    Constituents from Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Turkey came together in Jordan to discuss the promotion of decent work for Syrian refugees and host communities in the region, as part of a South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) initiative between the four countries, aimed at exchanging knowledge, skills, resources and technical know-how.

    The ILO and Germany’s Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development have signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding which seeks to support job creation in response to the refugee crisis and forced displacement in Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey.
