Updated Skills Development Programme for Domestic Workers – including Migrant Domestic Workers – Launched in Argentina

The Global Action Programme on Migrant Domestic Workers and their Families (GAP-MDW) provided support to the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security of Argentina to review its Vocational Training Program for domestic workers and to update its training materials in order to incorporate the provisions of the ILO Convention 189 and include migrant domestic workers’ issues.

Bi-national Agreement Promoting Decent Work for Migrant Domestic Workers in Paraguay-Argentina Migration Corridor

Domestic workers’ organizations and trade union confederations from Paraguay and Argentina signed a bi-national agreement in order to promote decent work for Paraguayan migrant domestic workers in Argentina. This was the main output of a bi-national workshop organized under the auspices of the EU funded Global Action Programme for Migrant Domestic Workers and their Families (GAP-MDW).

Tripartite Commissions on Equal Opportunities of Argentina and Paraguay signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop different collaborative initiatives, among them - their role as advisory committee of the EU funded Global Action Programme on Migrant Domestic Workers and their Families (GAP-MDW).
