    The International Labour Organization (ILO) organized the Seventh Technical Meeting of Focal Specialists on International Labour Migration Statistics in ASEAN on 22 and 23 September 2021. The meeting is supported by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) through the ILO's TRIANGLE in ASEAN programme.

    Spotlight on Gender-sensitive Reporting in Journalism

    24 March 2021

    The joint ILO-UN Women Safe and Fair Programme, as part of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative, will host a webinar to discuss and share good practices for responsible and ethical reporting of labour migration and gender-based violence and discrimination against migrant workers among media professionals. Safe and Fair will also launch the Media-friendly glossary on migration: Women migrant workers and ending violence against women edition. The glossary serves a guide for journalists, reporters, researchers and trainers who conduct trainings or write about women’s labour migration, and who write about violence against women in the context of migration.

    Workshop on Strengthening Capacity and Coordination on Prevention and Investigation of Trafficking in Persons for Forced Labour

    27 - 28 May 2019

    This workshop is held to improve mutual understanding and facilitate effective cooperation and referrals between labour inspectors and criminal law enforcers in investigating labour rights abuses including trafficking in persons.

    On 4 to 5 April, ILO, through its TRIANGLE in ASEAN programme, in close collaboration with ACTRAV and ACTEMP, supported the Second Joint Dialogue between the ASEAN Trade Union Council (ATUC) and the ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) on labour migration in Manila, the Philippines.

    ASEAN Regional Employers Workshop: Managing Labour Mobility for Inclusion, Innovation and Business Competitiveness, 9-10 May 2016, Siem Reap, Cambodia

    9 - 10 May 2016

    Managing workforce diversity, particularly in the context of labour migration, is an essential tool for improving business competitiveness. As an employers’ component of ASEAN TRIANGLE Project (ATP)’s Action Plan to fully engage employers’ organizations on labour migration processes in ASEAN, ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) adopted an employers’ policy framework for sustainable labour migration in ASEAN in 2013. The framework prioritizes five fundamental areas for business and policy decision makers. For the first four areas, regional workshops have taken place and background papers and policy position papers developed. This meeting is the fifth in this series on ‘Managing Diversity and Workplace Integration in the ASEAN Countries’.
