He was speaking at the "1+6 Roundtable Dialogue’ on Promoting Strong, Inclusive and Sustainable Growth of the World Economy: From Recovery to Restructuring”, hosted by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

Building on PAGE work for a Green Recovery in Jiangsu

In December 2019, a Green Development week took place in Suzhou to provide a platform for cross-sectoral dialogue, learning and information exchange in order to boost green development in Jiangsu. Moving forward to a post-COVID-19 context, it is apparent that the central themes explored in the green development week are also those crucial to green recovery in Jiangsu.

Ergonomic checkpoints in agriculture (second edition) now also available in Chinese

Approximately 100 of the illustrations accompanying the checkpoints were improved and revised in this second edition of the manual. The first edition was published in 2012 and it was well received by the ergonomic and occupational safety and health (OSH) practitioners and professional bodies around the world. Certain users recommended improving the illustrations so that they reflect the best available ergonomic techniques and practice globally, rather than in a few project countries. ILO specialists and external experts reviewed and commented on the illustrations.

Youth join green jobs push in China

Yang Shumbo, a Chinese electronic sciences student invented a device to save electricity. He developed this into a business under a pilot project of the Greener Business Option (GBO), an ILO Green Jobs Programme initiative. GBO aims to encourage entrepreneurship in green businesses among young people.
