    The ILO-DFID “Work in Freedom” programme promotes empowerment and education, fair recruitment, safe migration and decent work for women and girls from South Asia, and thus contribute to the prevention of human trafficking in this region and in the Middle East.

  3. ILO / World Bank / Government of India Agreement – Technical Support on Rural Roads Maintenance

    The ILO will provide technical assistance for developing and launching innovative and sustainable employment intensive rural roads maintenance systems for the project.

  4. ILO/Japan Fund for Building Social Safety Nets in Asia and the Pacific (SSN Fund)

    The SSN Fund aims to broaden the use of social safety nets through a wide range of projects to extend existing social security systems, promote occupational safety and health (OSH), develop human resources, strengthen labour inspection, eliminate forced labour and foster entrepreneurship. The Fund also responds to natural disasters by implementing crisis response activities in the affected areas to support disaster recovery.

    The overall objective of the project is to reduce vulnerability of workers to bondage situations in brick manufacturing and rice mill sectors in Tamil Nadu by achieving a significant improvement in living and working conditions for women and men workers and their family members.
