  1. Measurement, Awareness Raising, and Policy Engagement (MAP16) Project

    The project contributes to the promotion of decent work in Sri Lanka by supporting prevention measures and addressing child labour and its worst forms through new, fit for purpose, targeted approaches.

  2. SEA Fisheries Project (Strengthened Coordination to Combat Trafficking in Fisheries in South East Asia)

    1 April 2017 - 31 July 2020

    The Project aims to reduce human trafficking in the fishing sector by strengthening coordination and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of existing national and regional level anti-trafficking efforts in South East Asia. A regional coordination body will be established to support collaborative approaches, develop and implement joint strategies, and share information.

  3. Convening Actors to Develop and Implement Strategies to Reduce Child Labour and Improve Working Conditions in Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (CARING GOLD MINING PROJECT)

    11 December 2015 - 31 October 2019

    Funded by the United States Department of Labor (USDOL), the four-year project will address child labour, decent work deficits and working conditions in Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (ASGM) in the Philippines, specifically in Camarines Norte as pilot province.

  4. ILO/Japan Fund for Building Social Safety Nets in Asia and the Pacific (SSN Fund)

    15 June 2011 - 31 December 2022

    The SSN Fund aims to broaden the use of social safety nets through a wide range of projects to extend existing social security systems, promote occupational safety and health (OSH), develop human resources, strengthen labour inspection, eliminate forced labour and foster entrepreneurship. The Fund also responds to natural disasters by implementing crisis response activities in the affected areas to support disaster recovery.

  5. Tripartite Action to Protect Migrant Workers within and from the Greater Mekong Subregion from Labour Exploitation (GMS TRIANGLE project)

    10 June 2010 - 31 May 2015

    The GMS TRIANGLE project focused on reducing the exploitation of labour migrants by contributing to the development of legal and safe recruitment channels and improved labour protection mechanisms. It is currently continued through TRIANGLE in ASEAN programme.

  6. Prevention of trafficking in persons through improved management of labour migration in Sri Lanka

    1 October 2009 - 30 September 2012

    The overall goal of the project is to promote decent work in “conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity” for women and children employed as domestic or unskilled workers abroad, reducing their vulnerability to rights violations as victims of trafficking for labour exploitation.

  7. Eliminating Forced Labour and Trafficking in Jordan

    26 February 2009 - 26 August 2010

    The project seeks to strengthen government law enforcement capacity to identify, investigate and prosecute offences for forced labour and human trafficking; and support the establishment of an efficient and regulated recruitment mechanism.

  8. Going back – Moving on: Economic and Social Empowerment of Migrants including victims of trafficking returned from the EU and neighbouring countries

    In many European countries, Thai and Filipino women are among the largest group of women migrant workers. They are heavily concentrated in the services sector, as waitresses in restaurants, and in entertainment venues, (including sex-establishments) and as domestic workers. Given their occupational profile and the irregularity of their employment status, it is not surprising that many Filipino and Thai migrant workers, especially women, have experienced some of the worst forms of exploitation in Europe.

  9. Reducing Vulnerability to Bondage in India through Promotion of Decent Work

    The overall objective of the project is to reduce vulnerability of workers to bondage situations in brick manufacturing and rice mill sectors in Tamil Nadu by achieving a significant improvement in living and working conditions for women and men workers and their family members.
