    The electives of the SSE Academy were designed for practitioners from around the world to share and discuss practices, ideas and models for SSE action in specific fields. The first elective 1 took place on 16, 17 and 18 November 2021. It focused on the promotion of fundamental principles and rights at work in the Social and Solidarity Economy. It was available for participants in English, French and Spanish.

    2018 has been a significant year in advancing fundamental principles and rights at work. Working with governments, social partners and communities, the ILO FUNDAMENTALS Branch has helped those who cannot organize and bargain collectively, those suffering from discrimination, and those who are trapped in child labour and forced labour. There is much more to be done, and we look forward to accelerating progress and coordinating action towards our common goals over the coming years.

  1. Generation Safe and Healthy Children’s Summit

    The ILO Caring Gold Project, funded by the United States Department of Labor, will bring the World Day against Child Labour in Camarines Norte to address child labour and to promote decent work, including occupational safety and health in small-scale gold mines. Over 250 children, parents and partners will join the campaign and children’s summit.

    Innovative solutions are crucial to address child labour and to promote decent work in small-scale gold mines. The ILO Caring Gold Project, funded by the United States Department of Labor, and implemented with BAN Toxics, will launch the Compassionate Gold brand in partnership with the Philippine Fashion Week. Compassionate Gold ensures responsible mining practices.
