It celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape persecution, conflict, violence, human rights violations and events seriously disturbing public order. This goal continues to grow in importance as the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) estimates that almost 82.5 million were forcibly displaced at the end of 2020.
