Enhancing Rural Access Agro-Forestry Project (ERA Agro-Forestry)

The Project aims to contribute to a peaceful, inclusive and sustainable development in Timor-Leste, through improved rural access, the creation of employment, economic and domestic revenue opportunities through agro-forestry development, and a durable reduction in food insecurity and malnutrition in rural areas. This project is funded by the European Union.

Rural Road for Development (R4D) – Phase II

The Roads for Development Program (R4D) is the leading rural roads program in Timor-Leste, supporting the development of the rural roads sector in the country. R4D is aligned with the Government of Timor-Leste’s Strategic Development Plan 2011- 2030 and the Programs of the Constitutional Government.

Leaving No One Behind in Timor-Leste’s COVID-19 Response: Technical and Financial Support for the Implementation of the Cash Transfer Scheme for Low-Income Households

Funded by UN COVID-19 Response and Recovery Multi-Partner Trust Funds, the project aims to provide technical and financial support for the implementation of cash transfer scheme in Timor-Leste. UN agencies in Timor-Leste lead by the ILO and UN Women will provide technical support to the Government in designing the most effective, efficient and safe implementation plan for the scheme.

To substantially improve the quality of life of its people and to reduce the incidence of poverty, the Government has therefore prioritized the accelerated development and improvement of a well-connected and coherent road network and other key infrastructure, which is seen as being fundamental to the country’s development.
