C189 Anniversary: Violence and harassment in the world of work

As the international community discussed a possible convention or recommendation on violence and harassment in the world of work, domestic workers can play a leadership role in this fight. ILO Convention 189 concerning Decent Work for Domestic Workers, adopted on June 16th 2011, has given them a key platform in this respect, recognizing millions of domestic workers around the world as workers, and giving them a voice to advocate for their rights and the rights of all workers.
