How to promote disability inclusion in programmes to prevent, address and eliminate violence and harassment in the world of work

This information note promotes the inclusion of persons with disabilities in programmes to prevent, address and eliminate violence and harassment in the world of work. It is aimed at everyone in the world of work and, in particular, at government officials, members of trade unions and representatives of workers’ organizations, and enterprises and their representative organizations. It is relevant in applying the ILO’s Violence and Harassment Convention, 2019 (No. 190) and Violence and Harassment Recommendation, 2019 (No. 206).

UNAIDS calls on governments to live up to their commitment to develop nationally owned and led social protection systems for all, including floors; and scale up and progressively enhance coverage, adequacy and comprehensiveness, thereby improving the responsiveness and quality of interventions to address the needs and vulnerabilities of people living with HIV.

Results of a survey among National Business and Disability Networks and their members
Disability inclusion in company responses to COVID-19

In May 2020, the ILO Global Business and Disability Network conducted two surveys – one for National Business and Disability Networks (NBDN) and one for those networks’ company members – to identify good practices and gaps in responding to the COVID-19 crisis in a disability-inclusive way. In total, 159 companies from 22 countries (representing four regions) participated in the company survey, and 19 national networks participated in the NBDN survey.
