    The ILO Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN) will hold its “Making the Future of Work inclusive of persons with disabilities” conference to discuss how companies can shape a world of work which fully harnesses the potential people with disabilities offer.

  8. Conference on Trade Union Actions on Decent Work for Persons with Disabilities

    This conference serves to address trade union actions on disability in multi-sectoral forum. As well as disseminating research and raising awareness on inclusion of persons with disabilities and the relation between this and decent work, the conference will also identify ways forward for both trade unions and the ILO itself. Working together across ILO units (including ACTRAV and GED), the conference will also closely engage the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and Global Union Federations in design and execution.

  9. Global Meeting on the future of work and what it means for people with disabilities

    The ILO Global Business and Disability Network is to host the 2016 Global Meeting with a special panel to discuss the challenges and opportunities emerging types of jobs and new work structures will bring to people with disabilities. During the 2016 Global Meeting, new company members will sign the Business Charter on Disability, joining forces with current Network members in transforming workplaces worldwide into inclusive spaces for people with disabilities.

  10. International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2015: A Day for All

    This year’s theme “A Day for All” gives us an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of persons with disabilities in our families, workplaces, schools and communities. It is also a day to reaffirm our commitment toward embracing diversity in our lives, and to celebrate and welcome disability as part of human diversity.
