A set of papers on “Financial Mechanisms for Innovative Social and Solidarity Economy Ecosystems” is now available from the ILO

The social and solidarity economy (SSE) is receiving increased attention for its role in addressing a variety of economic and social challenges, ranging from the future of work to the provision of social services. The social and economic problems around the global COVID-19 pandemic have brought into focus the need to strengthen the SSE to support the recovery process, along with the public and private sector.

The SSE Momentum: Finance for Inclusion and the Future of Work
This international conference will be organized by the ILO in Trento, Italy from 18 to 20 November 2019 to present the findings from two international research projects on the role of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) and social finance in shaping a future of work. The two projects are funded by the Government of France and the Government of Luxembourg.

The 9th edition of the ILO Social and Solidarity Economy Academy in Luxembourg

The 9th edition of the ILO SSE Academy took place in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg from 25-29 September 2017. Over 120 participants from more than 30 countries participated in this Academy which focused on the Future of Work and exchanged experiences, best practices and challenges.
