The Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy of Luxembourg funded the UNTFSSE project “The Knowledge Hub package proposal: The SSE Encyclopedia and the UNTFSSE position paper“, within the framework of the The Knowledge Hub package". This project will be implemented in 2021 under the auspices of the United Nations Task Force on the Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE). The project is expected to harness the unique and distinctive potential of social and solidarity economy enterprises and organisations to contribute to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The project will raise awareness and visibility of the SSE within the UN system and beyond, reinforcing the already established Knowledge Hub; provide policy makers and academics with a reference tool containing information and knowledge on a wide range of SSE-related topics through the creation of an SSE Encyclopaedia; and contribute significantly to the UN "Delivering as One" approach by working on and publishing a joint UNTFSSE position paper on SSE.
