    Members of the Steering Committee overseeing the development of a national strategy for the cooperative movement in Jordan and representatives from the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) participated in an awareness-raising session on Promotion of Cooperatives Recommendation, 2002 (No. 193) on April 8, 2021.

  3. Training of Trainers Workshop on Think.Coop and Start.Coop conducted in Niamey, Niger

    The ILO organized a training of trainers (ToT) on Think.Coop and Start.Coop in Niamey, Niger in September for the economic empowerment of refugees and host communities through the strengthening of market-based livelihoods in fish farming and waste management value chains.

  4. Technical Webinar: The role of cooperatives and social and solidarity economy organizations in forced displacement contexts

    With the aim of highlighting the role and contributions of cooperatives and SSEOs in forced displacement contexts, the ILO COOP Unit and the PROSPECTS programme are organizing a webinar to allow for interactive discussion between practitioners and project implementers.

  10. SADA Women’s Cooperative in Turkey was selected as one of the 10 projects for scaling up by the Paris Peace Forum

    28 November 2019

    The cooperative was formed by women from host and refugee communities to undertake collective income generation activities with the support of the ILO. The cooperative was selected as one of ten projects to be scaled up and mentored by the Paris Peace Forum in the coming year.
