    Established in March 1920, the ILO’s Cooperatives Unit marks its Centenary in 2020. On this occasion, the ILO COOP 100 Interview series features past and present ILO colleagues and key partners who were closely engaged in the ILO's work on cooperatives and the wider social and solidarity economy (SSE). The interviews reflect on their experience and contributions in the past and shares their thoughts on the future of cooperatives and the SSE in a changing world of work.

  2. Think.COOP - an orientation on the cooperative business model - Facilitator's Guide

    Think.COOP is a low-cost, easy to use tool for those interested in establishing or joining a cooperative. It draws on technical content from existing materials from different ILO cooperative training tools on the basics of cooperatives. It also uses a peer-to-peer, activity-based learning methodology from the ILO’s Community-Based Enterprise Development (C-BED) programme. Think.Coop package contains: a training guide, a facilitator’s guide and two power point presentations that can be used for training of facilitators and direct beneficiaries.

  4. National consultation workshop on Start.Coop in Cambodia

    30 August 2019

    A national consultation workshop on ILO’s Start.Coop training tool was organized with over 64 officials from the government and civil society organizations that support the development of agricultural cooperatives.

  5. Thirty new trainers trained in My.Coop towards developing agricultural cooperatives in southern Haiti

    My.Coop – Training on agricultural cooperative management was organized in Haiti within the framework of an ILO project on addressing education and skills gaps for vulnerable youth in the agriculture and fishery sectors.

    ILO’s Think.Coop training tool has been rolled out in Turkey by Youth Deal Cooperative - Turkey’s first youth-led social cooperative that aims to provide sustainable employment solutions for disadvantaged groups including youth.
