The course is aimed at trainers and advisers in OSH belonging to governmental, employers’ and workers’ organizations involved in the promotion of OSH within enterprises. The programme may also be of interest to other people from professional or industrial bodies, training institutions involved in OSH issues and, above all, managers, supervisors and technical staff in charge of OSH within enterprises.

The proposed programme combines the advantages of the academic experience and the international training experience in OSH of the organizing partners. An international approach has been applied to the contents, the methodology development and the composition of the training team. This programme involves participants from both developing and developed countries, who will have an opportunity to share their different experiences. Furthermore, it also offers a range of learning situations in which participants can enhance their analytical and problem solving skills. The course has been specifically designed for hygienists, physicians, chemists, engineers, inspectors, practitioners and officers with a university degree but without previous specialization in OSH, who are working, or wish to work, as OSH specialists.

Violations of overtime laws have been identified as a major issue in many factories that participate in global supply chains. Excessive working time, is also associated with increased injuries, stress and fatigue that leads to errors in work and lower productivity. The ILO has developed an on-line training module that explains the issues and offers practical solutions to addressing excessive working time in the workplace.
19 October - 11 December 2020
This course will familiarize participants with the principles, functions and main characteristics of labour inspection. Participants will be able to choose from different compliance strategies and carry out a comprehensive and effective labour inspection visit relating to working conditions and occupational safety and health, applying new tools and a set of indicators for identifying the employment relationship.
23 - 27 November 2020
The course is aimed at decision-makers from ministries and institutions responsible for social security and OSH; senior officials and advisers from government institutions responsible for the planning, implementation and management of OSH; and workers' and employers' representatives involved in OSH policy-making at the national or regional level.
30 November - 4 December 2020
This Forum provides an opportunity to share good practices, knowledge and experiences and be inspired to create sustainable and decent work opportunities in sectors with high potential for green jobs creation, such as building and construction, waste management, and agriculture. The event brings together experts and practitioners involved at local, sectoral, national and global level in interventions aimed at harnessing the transformative potential of the green economy.
