The ILO Entrepreneurship Trainers Academy is the first Trainers Academy offering participants the possibility of becoming certified trainers in three key ILO entrepreneurship training packages. The Academy combines intense training of trainers on both content- and methodological issues, and cannot be missed by any trainer working for a public or private institution striving to make a real difference in the lives of new or existing entrepreneurs. It is based on the most recent versions of SIYB and GET Ahead and the newly launched Financial Education package.

Reconciling decarbonisation of the economy with social justice is not an easy task. While the greening of economies brings many opportunities to achieve social objectives, the required economic restructuring also presents enormous challenges for enterprises, workers and the economy at large.

The aim of this course is to create a space in which consulting and training professionals (working primarily in development, and specifically in the micro and small-enterprise development sector) can learn how to improve the performance of their companies, firms or departments dealing with consultancy and training. They will be able to upgrade their professional standards and practices, and prepare a strategy for improving the sustainability of the unit they are managing.

This course will familiarize participants with the principles, functions and main characteristics of labour inspection. Participants will be able to choose from different compliance strategies and carry out a comprehensive and effective labour inspection visit relating to working conditions and occupational safety and health, applying new tools and a set of indicators for identifying the employment relationship.

This course enhances the capacity of policy-makers and practitioners to formulate, implement and/or evaluate enterprise formalization measures through effective diagnostic analysis and better understanding of concepts and strategies for facilitating the transition of enterprises to the formal sector.

This five-day course will help investment promotion agencies to strengthen their investment promotion and facilitation capacities, expand their after-care services and, more broadly, enhance the development impacts of FDI flowing into their countries, particularly as regards the creation of more and better jobs. The course is run jointly by WAIPA (World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies) and the International Labour Organization (ILO).

This distance learning course provides an interactive e-learning opportunity to explore green jobs concepts and emerging practices. Through a review of tools, selected literature and best practices, participants are introduced to the labour-market implications of the transition to greener and more sustainable economies. The action-oriented curriculum is structured towards the design and implementation of green jobs policies, programmes and projects.
