Towards a brighter future of work in the digital economy - Global Research Seminar

Organized by the ILO and Sophia University

The purpose of this Global Research Seminar is to share the main findings of brand new ILO research on skills shortages, skills development strategies, and the governance of labour migration of ICT specialists in Canada, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Experts from the seven countries and Japan will exchange views on these topics, and discuss what can be done to create a digital economy with decent work opportunities for more women and men.

The Global Research Seminar is the culmination of an ILO research project entitled “The Future of Work in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)”, which is financed by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan.
