The EIIP Digital collection now available publicly

The EIIP has been working with the ILO Library to establish a separate EIIP collection within the overall ILO Digital Collection of publications. This collection is now publicly available and provides a permanent repository of EIIP publication and will be kept updated. It includes all EIIP related publications which have been published by the ILO or for which the copyright rests with the ILO.

ILO and FAO join forces to keep logging safe

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on logging operations around the world, with direct and serious implications for workers and enterprises. As economic activities restart, companies and workers must find ways to adapt to new realities. The ILO and FAO have joined forces and released a practical and participatory checklist to help companies, workers and customers stay safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19, while mitigating the social economic impact of COVID-19.

Sectoral Advisory Bodies 2021
The Sectoral Advisory Bodies (SABs), composed of tripartite constituents engaged in economic sectors, were established at the 298th Session of the ILO Governing Body (March 2007) to review sectoral developments and to make recommendations to the ILO's constituents on priorities for sectoral work. Sessions of the SABs are held every two years, and they are chaired by a representative of the Government group of the Governing Body. Following the session held in January 2021 the SABs are to make recommendations on sectoral meetings to be held in the biennium 2022–23 and on preparatory work for sectoral meetings in future biennia. These recommendations will be submitted to the Governing Body at its 341st session in March 2021.
