    A two-day technical meeting between the ILO and partners focused on a newly adopted bylaw that clarifies the labour rights and entitlements of agriculture workers in Jordan, in efforts to provide guidance on its practical implementation and enforcement.

  2. Training trainers to promote cooperative development in Jordan’s agriculture sector

    An ILO “training of trainers” workshop strengthens the role of cooperatives in advancing decent work for Jordanian workers and Syrian refugees in Jordan’s agricultural sector.

  3. World Day Against Child Labour sheds light on working children in Jordan’s agricultural sector

    ILO Jordan holds events for children working on farms to highlight importance of education on the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour.

  4. Strengthening cooperatives in Jordan to improve livelihoods and advance decent work for Jordanian workers and Syrian refugees

    Drawing on the earlier work and pilot interventions, the ILO will further strengthen cooperatives in Jordan within the framework of a new Dutch-funded project on advancing decent work for Jordanian workers and Syrian refugees in the agriculture sector.

  5. Employment promotion and decent work for Jordanians and Syrian refugees in Jordan’s agricultural sector

    Norwegian delegation visits sites of ILO initiatives that help workers access jobs in the sector of agriculture and forestry as part of the agency’s response to the refugee crisis in Jordan.

  6. My.Coop – Building capacity of cooperatives towards involving Syrian refugees and Jordanian farmers in agricultural value chains

    My.Coop – Managing your agricultural cooperative training package was adapted to the Jordanian context and rolled out with cooperatives in northern Jordan to improve their capacities to help Syrian refugees and Jordanian farmers participate in income-generating activities.

    ILO, Jordan to expand green employment project for Jordanians and Syrian refugees

    The ILO and Jordan’s Ministry of Agriculture agree to implement the second phase of a project to boost decent jobs through green works and labour-intensive employment in agriculture and forestry.

  8. Syrian refugees in Jordan welcome work permits, but challenges persist

    New ILO study, prepared in collaboration with UNHCR, looks at the impact of work permits provided to Syrian refugees in Jordan that has resulted in thousands of them formally joining the Jordanian workforce.

  9. ILO online learning programme introduces Syrian refugees to their workplace rights in Jordan

    The programme is part of on-going efforts by the ILO to help formalize the work of Syrian refugees in Jordan.
