  1. Rural women need gender equality, workplace safety

    A strong and positive occupational safety and health culture is vital built on inclusion. However, women especially in rural sectors are often left out. Developmental approaches to promoting occupational safety and health, enhancing access to training and other technical advisory services, and increasing women’s participation can help improve safety and health in the rural sectors and communities.

    Groundnut cultivation supported by ILO’s SURAR Project is not only helping resettled communities to revive their livelihoods but also reintegrate with existing communities in the Mullaitivu District

  3. ILO supports the creation of market links through cooperatives in agriculture in Northern Sri Lanka

    Since its establishment in 2017, the ILO supported the Udayarkaddu Cooperative to establish a primary processing facility for fruits and vegetables, set up market linkages through private sector partnerships; and increase the production capacity of its member farmers through a series of capacity building initiatives. During COVID-19 the cooperative tailored ways to serve its members even during the lockdown.

  4. National consultation workshop on Start.Coop in Cambodia

    A national consultation workshop on ILO’s Start.Coop training tool was organized with over 64 officials from the government and civil society organizations that support the development of agricultural cooperatives.

  5. Think.COOP introduced nationally for Cambodian agriculture cooperatives

    The national consultation workshop on Think.COOP was organized on the 7th and 8th of November 2018 in Phnom Penh, with participants from all of Cambodia’s 25 provinces and a municipality.

  6. ILO organizes a meeting on cooperative to cooperative trade and decent work

    ILO brings together the cooperative movement and fairer and ethical trade initiatives to promote responsible production and consumption though cooperative to cooperative trade.

  7. ILO sponsors training on agricultural cooperative management through My.Coop distance learning programme

    Since 2012 the International Training Centre of the ILO has organized a distance learning Training of Trainers programme on My.Coop – Managing your agricultural cooperative training package. The latest edition took place in late 2017, with participation of four participants sponsored by the ILO’s Cooperatives Unit.

  9. Strengthening agricultural cooperatives in Viet Nam

    My.Coop – Managing your agricultural cooperative” training took place in Hanoi, Viet Nam in February 2017 after the translation and adaptation of My.Coop to the Vietnamese context.
