The International Labour Organization (ILO) has launched a new video download platform for use by media and the general public.

The online platform, which went live on 24th January, features a wide selection of world of work video content produced by the ILO. It is organized into three separate libraries.

A video newsroom library features news offers from press conferences, report launches and other events, primarily targeting the broadcast media.

A b-roll library, containing footage with natural sound, is available for re-purposing. It covers a range of themes such as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the world of work, child labour, forced labour, green jobs and more. The b-roll library also contains archive footage dating back to the establishment of the ILO in 1919.

An edited videos library contains scripted videos covering world of work issues, mainly in English but with some content in French and Spanish, that can be used for educational, training and awareness-raising purposes.

The videos cover all regions, are free to download and are subject to a Creative Commons licence.

Alongside the video download platform, nearly 20,000 photos on world of work issues and the ILO are available for download from the ILO’s Flickr account.
