ILO, UNICEF report shows shortcomings in social protection for children
GENEVA (ILO News) – The ILO and UNICEF will launch a joint report highlighting the importance of social protection in helping children escape poverty.
The report shows the shortcoming in social security coverage for children, providing global and national figures.
The report will be released at 00:01 GMT (01:01 CET) on Wednesday 6 February.

The issue will be discussed at the February 6-8 International Conference on Child Grants, convened by UNICEF, the ILO and the UK’s Overseas Development Institute (ODI). The conference will take place at the ILO's headquarters in Geneva.
