ILO employment-intensive interventions promote decent work in Iraq

“Thank you” doesn’t pay the bills

Syrian garment worker in Jordan continues to support her family during pandemic

A year ago, Batoul, Syrian refugee in Jordan found work at a garment factory through an ILO-supported employment centre. The factory was forced to close temporarily during the pandemic. Even so, Batoul continued to receive a salary which she uses to provide for her young daughter, who has a spinal condition.
