Towards a child labour-free Jordan

In 2011, Jordan adopted the National Framework to Combat Child Labour. This video tells the story of 14-year-old Nabeel, a former child labourer from Al-Ruseifeh, Zarqa Governorate, who dropped out of school and was working as an auto mechanic. Encouraged to return to school by a team of local authorities, Nabeel has since learned how to read and write. The ILO is providing technical support to government, social partners and civil society on the practical implementation of the National Framework as part of the U.S. Department of Labor funded project "Moving Towards a Child Labour Free Jordan".
