Gender gaps in Asia-Pacific: Trends and projections
While the employment-to-population ratio of Asia and the Pacific continues to rank highest among the world’s regions, the decline over time is sharper than the global average.
Gender gap in labour force participation rate
The youth unemployment rate continues to fall below the global rate, but while the global rate is expected to hold steady through 2020, the regional youth unemployment rate is expected to increase slightly.

Unemployment rates are higher in Southern Asia and Eastern Asia, but only in Eastern Asia is the rate projected to increase slightly by 2020.
