  1. ILO side-event at the 66th session of the Commission on the Status of Women

    Panel discussion on women’s empowerment in the world of work in fragile settings

    The event was an opportunity to launch the ILO Guide “Gender equality and women’s empowerment in the world of work in fragile, conflict and disaster settings” and to engage in a global conversation with constituents, partner organizations and other stakeholders in the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus on how best to effectively mainstream gender equality and non-discrimination in the world of work faced by crisis and fragility in order to pave the way to more equal, peaceful and resilient societies.

  2. 4th Employment Policy Research Symposium, 15-16 November 2021

    Employment policies for a job-rich recovery and a better future of work

    This year’s symposium focused on the follow-up to the Global Call to Action for a human-centred recovery from the COVID-19 crisis that is inclusive, sustainable and resilient. Towards this aim, it reviewed the available evidence and discussed policy approaches to assist ILO constituents in their efforts to promote labour market recovery and structural transformation processes that will shift economies to a new and better normal.

    Massive Open Online Course on Recommendation No. 205: Employment and Decent Work for Peace and Resilience

    This course explores all the aspects of Recommendation No. 205 to create awareness of the implications of fragility in the world of work and the solutions implemented by the ILO across the Decent Work Agenda.
