Presentation by Anuradha Seth on Gender Equality and Inclusive Growth

Anuradha Seth is an economist with over 25 years of experience working on development policy and programming at the United Nations. Her primary areas of expertise include inclusive growth and macro-economic policy, labour market and employment policy, poverty and inequality, and gender in development. A significant contribution of her work includes examining how economic growth and macroeconomic policies can effectively address, and promote, more equitable labour market and social development outcomes.

Prior to joining UN Women in 2016, where she is the team leader of the Gender and Macroeconomic cluster within the Economic Empowerment section, she was the Manager of the Inclusive and Green Growth section at UNDP. She co-led the UN inter-agency Task Force on Goal 8 of the SDG’s on Inclusive and Sustainable Growth and Full and Productive Employment. She was the co-chair of the SG’s High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment on Gender and Macroeconomic Policy in 2017. She received her Ph.D in Economics from the New School for Social Research.
