Advancing Decent Work among micro- and small enterprises (MSEs) operating in the Informal Economy requires to address the gap between informality and formality. Recognizing that informality persists among MSEs largely due to absence of legal recognition, weak linkages to formal business and socio-cultural traditions, the programme works to enhance productivity, incomes, workers’ protection and reduce legal barriers for formalization.
