This survey reports on the opportunities and constraints within the supply chain that produces and exports lifestyle handicrafts from northern Vietnam; many embedded BDS are identified and described. The report also identifies interventions which can enable and encourage those involved to take the 'high road', rather than competing purely on price. Also included is a survey of buyer perceptions overseas of Vietnamese handicrafts, relative to those exported from other, competing countries.
