Constantly in contact with company. On 24th January 2023 they sent a bank slip stating that money has been sent, but nothing has been received by crew
Requested flag state to but so far nothing has been actioned
ITF delivered blankets and sweaters on board.
Port state were informed on 27th February 2023, and they detained the vessel
ITF emergency fund requested for funds for shore power because the fuel tanks are empty
Comments and Observations:Govt. of Panama (24 April 2023)
We acknowledge receipt of your labor complaint against the ship " Blue Sky III, IMO 6705949".
In accordance with the ordinary procedure, seeking to obtain a prompt clarification and solution to the reported situation, we will contact the Registered Owner, Operators and Local Resident Agents, regarding the complaint filed.
We need the list of crew members and details of the salary owed.


Govt. of Netherlands (25 April 2023)
With respect to the abandonment case of the vessel BLUE SKY III’, IMO Number 6705949, Flag: Panama, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water of the Netherlands wishes to inform you as follows.
Inspection (ILenT) has visited BLUE SKY III on 27 February 2023 and detained (MLC related deficiencies). All relevant information has been sent to the consulate of Panama (situated in The Hague). Officer of the consulate has forwarded the information to the authorities of Panama.
Furthermore Inspection (ILenT) has reached out to the flagstate Panama, see attached mail correspondence. No Registered Organisation is involved with respect to this vessel.


Govt. of Panama (31 May 2023)
Regarding the complaint against the ship “Blue Sky III, IMO 6705949”, from the owner, we received evidence of the payments made, as well as the documents that support the repatriation, I attach the documentation provided.

ITF (18 July 2023)
Crew members received their 2023 salaries. Salaries for the months of 2022 are still outstanding. 6 crew members have disembarked, tickets has been partially paid by the company. We do not believe that the outstanding wages for 2022 will be paid. After the crew signed off we were in contact with them several times but we have had no communication for a few weeks.
2 crew members have signed a new contract with the owner. We are still in contact with them and they advise that everything is well and there are no problems with payment and provisions.

Govt. of Panama (19 July 2023)
In response to the labour complaint filed against the vessel “BLUE SKY III, IMO 6705949 please find latest communications:
- Through email dated July 5, 2023- The ITF inform the following: “The crew members have received their wages for the months in 2023.
- The payment for the months of 2022 are still not arrived on the accounts of the crew members.
- I know that the company was working on it to figure out where the money is, but till today they, unfortunally, did not succeed”.

ITF (5 September 2023)
Vessel was sold on 24th August 2023. The new owners have taken over the vessel without any outstanding payment obligations to the crew or the shipyard. Chief Officer and 2nd Eng disembarked the vessel on 24th August 2023. The crew agreed a deal with the owners but no evidence of payment has been received.

In response to the labor complaint filed against the vessel BLUE SKY lll with IMO 6705949, you will find the latest communications:
By emaiI dated September 5, 2023 - ITF indicated that
"The vessel was sold on August 24, 2023. The new owners have taken charge of the vessel without any outstanding payment obligations to the crew or the shipyard.
The first officer and second engineer disembarked from the ship on August 24, 2024. The crew reached an agreement with the owners but no evidence of payment was received"
