Comments and Observations:Govt. of Turkey (11 August 2020)
- The ship arrived in Aliaga port, Turkey on 12.07.2019,
- The ship berthed “Bereket Gemi Söküm İth. İhr. Tic. Ltd. Şti.” ship recycling facility on 13.07.2020,
- Scrapping operation started on 19 July 2019 with the permission issued by Harbour Master,
- Scrapping operation was completed on 22 August 2019.

According to the registry certificate issued by the flag State and P&I certificate issued by “The British&European Overseas P&I Insurance”, the ship is registered to Tanzania Zanzibar flag.

Moreover, checks made on international ship databases (i.e. IHS Fairplay) including GISIS ship and company particulars module, confirm that ships flag and certification as Tanzania Flag. Therefore, necessary permissions for ship arrival and scrapping were issued.

In the light of foregoing, we could not find any clue supporting illegal scrapping claim.
