We further understand that subsequent to the abandonment report to us, the vessel was involved in a collision on 09 July 2017.

The crew is still onboard; owners allegedly discussed the crew problems with their mortgagee (National Bank of Greece) and the West of England P&I Club over the past few weeks but no information provided to the crew. The Club responded to the ship’s Charterer in Dubai that “the Club cannot assist” in relation to the crew related issues.

The Charterer assisted the crew with provisions and drinking water;
West of England P&I Club on its website shows a valid insurance cover for the vessel under MLC’s Regulation 2.5.2 (18/01/2017 - 20/02/2018) and MLC – Regulation 4.2 (18/01/2017 - 20/02/2018)
