Three cases (Shun Da, Amiri and Yong Win 18) were already resolved but it was reported that some crew of these vessels had not been paid. Considering that their claim pre-dates the abandonment report, the current status (resolved) is not changed.

Subject: FW: INFORMATION & REQUEST TO ASSIST FOR SIGNED OFF CREWS OUTSTANDING SALARY

Dear Jinhak
I write with reference to the Shun-Da, Amiri and Yong Win vessels that were all abandoned by the same company in China and reported to the database in 2016. The cases have now been marked resolved on the database because an arrangement was reached with the new owner to pay outstanding wages of crew on board. Unfortunately some other crew members who were on board previously and repatriated without pay have now contacted our union asking what’s happening since information has been circulated about the case being resolved. I think we have to consider that their claim pre-dates the abandonment report so the case should still be marked resolved, but could you add a note to the record saying that some former crewmembers from these vessels still have outstanding wages.
I hope that makes sense.

Three vessels from the same Chinese owner: Amiri, Shun Da and Yong Win 18 have problems of unpaid wages, intermittent supply of food, water & fuel, & refusal to repatriate or engage with crew are located in and around Hai Phong.
