Flag state has issued request to the owner demanding explanation, P&I club notified of wages due in excess of 2 months with request for rectification.

24 seafarers but 13 believed impacted.

Owner has paid outstanding wages until 31 January 2022. Wages for February 2022 remain unpaid and the owner is attempting to repatriate those crew who want to go home
Payment status:23 February 2022: Payment Pending
P&I/Financial Security Insurer: AMT Insurance.

$6,600 for two crew known thus far.
Comments and Observations:Govt. of Panama (22 March 2022)
1. On February 23, 2022, we notified the owner of the labor complaint against the vessel SAOSHYANT, IMO 9014119, for pending wages and repatriation.
2. Crew salaries are currently paid through the end of January 2022.
3. Mr. Eric White ITF Inspector is working with his superiors to update the ILO databases.
4. The Panama Maritime Administration notified the insurance company (P&I) that issued the financial security (regulation 2.5) of the abandonment of the crew of the vessel M/V SAOSHYANT and requested urgent attention to this case.



ITF (6 April 2022)
Repatriation not possible through Chinese ports. No recent update has been received from the crew.

ITF (3 May 2022)
All concerned crew were repatriated from Vladivostok, Russia on 12th April 2022. However, April wages for two crew are still pending.

ITF (22 July 2022)
The ITF has received one contact from the crew after their repatriation. All concerned crew repatriated and paid up until April 1 although we have been unable to determine payment status for April 1-12.
