Tanker

The vessel has been in lay-up anchorage of Colombo, Sri Lanka since 7 September 2020. Ship is under arrest by High Court of Colombo due to case against the Ship's owner (Alphabet Maritime PVT LTD, UAE).
The service period onboard of every crew member has been exceeded without consent.
The crew are under distress and are mentally and phisically tired. There had been no supply of food, water, fuel, spares & stores and salary for more than 2 months.
Actions taken:12 January 2021: Flag State informed
Repatriation status:Repatriation pending
They need to disembark from this ship and go home.

From Maritime Labour Affairs Department
On May 4th, 2021 please note that on board all 09 crew members (03 Pakistani & 06 Indians) disembarked on 21/04/2021, repatriated and wages have been paid till 31st March 2021. Balance wages of 21 days in April 2021, has informed the crew that once the Vessel is auctioned then same shall be settled.

From Panama Maritime Authority
Through email dated May 11, 2021 sent from ISWAN, they reported the following that they heard back from Indian seafarer that they have been repatriated home end April and have been given 4 months wages. They expect to get remaining dues once vessel is auctioned. We also heard that 2 Pakistani seafarers who were also returning back, were tested COVID 19 and have been quarantined in Maldives.
According to the email dated May 21, 2021 received from Chirag Bahri, the Pakistani seafarer who is in Maldives informed that during the COVID test, he was again tested positive while the other colleague was tested negative. The colleague has reached home. I then had a chat with the seafarer who has reached home and confirmed that the seafarer still is Maldives is 2nd Engineer and will be retested every 3nd day.
Please note that on board all 9 crew members disembarked on 21/04/2021, repatriated and wages have been paid till 31st March 2021.
Balance wages of 21 days in April 2021, has informed the crew that once the Vessel is auctioned then same shall be settled.
Last information received from the P&I, they said that the crew salary and repatriation were done by the owner without involving the P&I.

Govt. of Panama (2 March 2022)
Maritime administration of Panama had contacted the Master on January 21, 2022 regarding payment of the wages due for April 2021.
