|Circumstances:||Vessel detained by MCA. Wages unpaid since March 2017, non-compliant SEAs, wages below ILO minima, inadequate provisions, cockroach infestation in the galley. Four crew members have expired contracts. Indian crew have paid some USD 5,000 for their positions and for airfares to join the vessel in Istanbul. UK border force gave a deadline (7 days) for payment of crew and sailing date with next port of call, after which they would all be deported and no replacements permitted. The company has a second vessel detained in Scotland.|
