    Establishes a National Agency for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Susbstance Abusers with the functions of promoting drug abuse prevention programmes and providing post-rehabilitation services for recovered addicts.

    Establishes a Training and Employment of Disabled Persons Board with the purpose of operating schemes to promote the employment of disabled persons and to prevent discrimination against them. Employers with 35 or more employees shall hire disabled workers so as to represent 3 per cent of the total work force. Prohibits discrimination based on disability in recruitment, allocation of wages, and other employment matters.

    An Act to provide for the establishment of a Trust Fund for Disabled Persons. Section 4 provides that the objects of the Fund are to set up training centres and sheltered workshops for, and to develop and provide appropriate training to, disabled persons with a view to enabling them to secure employment or to work on their own account.

    This is an Act to provide for the employment of disabled persons or, in the alternative, a contribution to a Trust Fund from employers. Sections 3 and 4 provide for the establishment and functions of the Employment of Disabled Persons Board. Sections 5 and 6 concern the establishment by the Minister, and functions of, a register of disabled persons. Section 7 provides that "Every employer shall apply to have his name entered in the register of employers ..." By s.8, " ... every employer shall be under a duty to employ such number of persons as is specified in the Schedule or to make such contributions to the Trust fund as he may be required to make". Section 13 provides for penalties.
