Parents are entitled to 14 weeks of parental leave in respect of each child and must avail of their new entitlements to parental leave not later than 31 December 2001.

Part III sets forth specific provisions regarding equality between men and women, including in matters related to equal remuneration and sexual harassment.

    Also repeals the Employment Equality Act, 1977.

These Regulations make similar provisions for people participating in community employment which incorporates the former social employment scheme.
