    Decree No. 75 of 2008 on controls and reconciliation procedures for crimes committed in violation of the provisions of the Law Regulating the Labor Market.

    The Decree sets the conditions for reconciliation in cases of violations of the provisions of he law regulating the labour market. A fine is imposed for cases where the employer has employed a foreign worker without a proper work permit and in the case where they use the foreign worker in an abusive manner.

    Provides that a seafarer serving under a fixed-term contract may, by written request, leave the vessel at the first port it reaches after the expiry of his contract, whereupon his contract shall be effectively terminated.
