    Employment Law (DIFC Law No. 4 of 2005). - Act on-line

    This law regulates the employment of persons working in establishment having a place of business within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC); or an entity that is created by Law No. 9 of 2004, and the employee is based within, or ordinarily works within or from, the DIFC. It regulates the recruitment of workers, child labour, wages, working time and leave, maternity rights, employers' obligations, health and safety, non-discrimination, termination of employment, complaints etc.

Part II regulates the employment of workers, young persons and women, Part III regulates employment contracts, records and remuneration, Part IV deals with hours of work and leave, Part V regulates industrial safety, preventive measures, health and social care for workers, Part VII regulates termination of employment and severance pay, Part VIII regulates compensation for occupational accidents and diseases, Part IX regulates collective labour disputes, Part X regulates labour inspection, Part XI provides for the penalties for a breaching the law and Part XII contains the concluding provisions.
