Provides for classification of biological agents, information and training, duties of persons who might be exposed to HBA, monitoring exposure at workplace, medical surveillance, records, control of exposure to HBA, personal protective equipment and facilities, maintenance of control measures and equipment, prohibitions, labelling, packaging, transportation, storage, special measures for health and veterinary isolation facilities, disposal of HBA, and offences and penalties. Annex B contains guidelines for categorisation of biological agents according to hazard and categories of containment.
