Also amends sections of the Seamen's Act (26 July 1957) regarding work which shall not be performed by young persons aboard ships.

Sets out special protective standards for young persons. Those under fifteen years of age must not be employed, exept when the young person is employed to obtain vocational training. Also stipulates longer rest periods and a prohibtion against piecework for such employees.
