Túnez - Eliminación del trabajo forzoso - Ley

Loi n° 89-23 du 27 février 1989 portant suppression de la peine des travaux forcés.

Cette loi modifie 58 articles du code pénal afin de substituer à la peine des travaux forcés qu'elle supprime une peine d'emprisonnement. Aux termes du nouvel article 27, lorsque la loi prévoit la peine de l'interdiction de séjour ou celle du renvoi sous la surveillance administrative, le tribunal peut la substituer à un travail rééducatif pendant une période de 5 ans au maximum. Cette peine est subie après l'emprisonnement. Si le condamné bénéficie de la libération conditionnelle, la peine de travail rééducatif est exécutée à partir de ce bénéfice. Les articles 10, 11 et 51 du code pénal sont abrogés. Aux termes de l'article 10 de la présente loi, la peine de travaux forcés ou celle de la réclusion prononcée avant la promulgation de cette loi est remplacée par la peine d'emprisonnement pour le reste de la durée.

These include efforts in the area of national and international policy making and cooperation; legal frameworks, law enforcement and justice; protection, recovery and reintegration; preventive measures; and mechanisms for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the MoU.

Domesticates the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, which supplements the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.
